1. IN-HOME CONSULTATION
Our designers begin with a free in-home consultation to take measurements, photos, and discuss your goals. We take the time to listen and understand your vision, style, and needs for your new space.
4. DESIGN REVISIONS & FINAL PLAN
Once your design is finalized, we prepare a clear contract with confirmed pricing and details. This step ensures every decision is in place and you’re fully confident moving forward.
2. DESIGN & ESTIMATE
Using your measurements and preferences, our team creates a custom layout with multiple pricing options. You’ll receive a detailed estimate outlining materials, costs, and timelines so you know exactly what to expect.
5. ORDER & SCHEDULING
Our team places all material orders and coordinates a realistic project timeline. Financing options are available to help you start your renovation when it works best for you.
3. SHOWROOM SELECTIONS
Visit our showroom to explore cabinetry, countertops, hardware, and more. Our designers guide you through each choice to ensure your selections complement your home and reflect your personal style.
6. BUILD & FOLLOW-UP
Throughout construction, our designers stay involved to ensure everything runs smoothly, on time, and on budget. After completion, we follow up personally to make sure you’re thrilled with your new space.
ABOUT
OVER 40 YEARS OF CRAFTSMANSHIP TRADITION
Growing up helping his father on repair jobs, always lending a hand with the tools, Scott Herceg started working in a cabinet shop right out of high school, in 1977. He worked there during the day as an apprentice to a cabinetmaker who took Scott under his wing. At the same time, he was attending and graduating from night school “to make mom happy.” But he knew all along that the cabinetry and renovation business was where his passion lies. He worked his way up to foreman at the shop, also learning to build cabinetry and custom-made furniture. Then in 1993, he founded Kitchen Design Center with a commitment to top quality craftsmanship and customer service. Building a loyal team around him, Scott is still the one who goes to homes and meets the clients face-to-face. When spreading the word to others about their experience with KDC, past clients mention that low-key, personalized, no-pressure service—with more listening than speaking—always comes first with KDC.
Not many company owners got their start in the business 45 years ago and can assemble cabinets themselves. Scott Herceg and his team know the ins and outs of any job. Before the first measurement is taken, he sits down with the client in their home and listens to their wants, needs and preferences. Then he invites them into the showroom to go over samples. Scott takes his time throughout the process, never putting pressure on people. Once they get to selecting cabinets, countertops and flooring, he says he can meet or beat other companies, including the big box stores
